The First Aid Project isn’t anything new.

I’ve been writing music in this style for 2 years now, and I’ve finally found a way to organize it in a way that makes sense to me.

The idea behind the name is fairly simple… I write music to help myself deal with personal situations. It’s my immediate, knee-jerk reaction when something big happens in my life. A new song gets stuck in my head and I have to help it find life with set lyrics and a melody.

Each song symbolizes a stitch in my own self surgery.

I am currently working on a video series titled Surgery, which is a combination explanatory journal + performance of each of my songs, filmed in the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand. (I fear building up too much hype around this until I am further along, as I don’t know how long it will take me for everything to be ready. But keep an eye out for more updates on its progress, as this is a really important project for me.)

Until that is ready for launch I will continue to offer up simple recordings of my songs available for streaming here and on SoundCloud. I appreciate knowing you’re there listening to my work, so if my music moves you or you’ve enjoyed it, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me and say so!

As I move forward with this, I’d like to present you with my most recent song: Show And Tell. It was written in the back of a camper van in Wanaka, New Zealand just before 2015 rolled in.

It is the introduction to my First Aid Project with the message:

“I’m putting my work and myself out there for anyone who wants to find me. Do with me as you will.”
